Praying

For all of you who left prayer requests yesterday … I’m working through every one and praying for you. I want you to know how God is joining my heart with each one of you. Because of the number, I’m only writing one sentence prayer in response, but I’m longing to write paragraphs to you all. I can see myself in any of your shoes, and God is giving me a deep love for you as I pray much more in depth than what I can write. You are not alone, and you are loved!

For those friends who subscribe … could I ask you a favor? Would you click here on your email, read the comments, and partner with me? There is so much need for prayer in these requests. Broken hearts need healing, dying relationships need new life, sick bodies need strength, addictions need shattered… Would you pick a few and pray? Our Jesus can accomplish all of it, and prayer matters. Thank you, friends! (Also, if you want to leave an encouraging word for those you prayed for, I know they’d love it. Just click on “reply” and type away.)

  1. Amy, I am facing an impossible situation. I lost my job 8 months ago and still have not been able to find work. I am hanging on by a thread and I am suffering greatly. I do not have anyone to turn to. No friends or family who can help me and my situation is growing worse and worse as the days pass by. So I am asking for prayers for employment and a financial break through. I do not have enough money to pay my bills and this morning my electric was cut off and I do not have the money to restore power let alone pay my rent. I am overwhelmed and scared at the situation I face. I do not know what to do or how this going to turn around.

    Thank you!

Lord, You promise You’re a very present help in times of trouble. I stand with my sister Carolyn today crying out to You for help. Would you provide miraculously and guide her to people and services that might have resources for her? Surround her with Your presence and love.
