Oh my. I was so moved last week by your comments and prayer requests, and I’ve gone through them all again today, praying for those you love.
I was also touched by how tenderly Isabel responded. She’s a rock star, and y’all should know that she’s printed a copy of each request so that she and her team would make sure to pray for each one. Thank you, Isabel!
I’m sad that I don’t have a book for each of you, but Joyce W. Slade (4.30.20 8:55 am) won our giveaway copy. Congratulations, Joyce!
If you didn’t win, but you’d still like your own copy, you can order it from Amazon or find it wherever you like to buy books.
Next week, I’ll be back to start the last step, “speak.” I’m facing it with trembling because this is the scariest step for me personally. I’d love your prayers! But this week, I want to join my prayers with Isabel’s for your older friends or, as I’m beginning to prefer as I move into the category, seasoned saints!
Lord, we thank You that aging and maturing in You is a blessing. Proverbs 16:31 tells us that, “Gray hair is a crown of splendor; it is attained in the way of righteousness.” (NIV) Each of us want to gain wisdom and Your righteousness as we age! Protect the precious seasoned saints in our lives. Replace their fear with peace. Strengthen their bodies and souls with Your presence. Help us to know how to reach out and love them well. Let each person named in the comments feel loved and not alone. Also, comfort the hearts of the sisters here who have recently lost someone they love. Let your nearness sustain them as they grieve. We pray in your precious name, Jesus. Amen.
