Giveaway & a Safe Place for Wives

by Amy Carroll 13 Comments

Friends… I’ve been holding on to a secret for so long that I’m about to bust. I promise to make it official as soon as I have a contract in my hot little hands. Here are some hints:

  • It’s a writing project in a new genre. (I’m up to my ears in writing, so I’m going to do a few fun posts here until I can breath again.)
  • It’s about a woman who speaks up.
  • She walks through all the steps we’ve been studying here: listen –> feel –> do –> speak

Any guesses? If you leave your guess in the comments, I’ll do a random drawing from the commenters for a free copy of Exhale!

In the meantime, I want to recommend some other spots that I speak up! These are resources and ministries that I love personally enough to invest my time in.

This week, A Wife Like Me is my highlight. A Wife Like Me is a team collected and directed by my fun friend Amanda Davidson. She and her team write and speak for women who want to grow in their faith and in their marriage. I LOVE this ministry and follow them on both Instagram and Facebook. They’ve also got a podcast, books, and free downloads on their website. So many treasures! (I especially love their Wednesday Wife Challenge on Insta. Who doesn’t love a kissing challenge?!)

I’ll be the guest teacher for A Wife Like Me Collective soon. It’s one of the places that I adore speaking up, and I’ll be teaching on “Lose Who You’re Not,” from Colossians 1. Check it out, and pray about joining me there if you’re a wife who’s longing for spiritual growth that will make a difference in your marriage. They’re offering a free 7-day trial right now!

I’m in the process of developing a more tender heart and a stronger voice. We're building a community of women here who are growing in the same direction. I promise that I won’t start telling you what to think. Instead, I’ll be digging into how to think about our culture’s issues based on Scripture.

Periodically, I’ll send exclusive content to subscribers, my friends who are learning with me.

You’re writing a story about a woman who carefully listens to and evaluates all sides of an issue, then respectfully states her opinion.

Is it a fiction book, maybe based on a Biblical woman?

A book on Abigail, Nabal’s wife from the Bible. I am thrilled by that story.

I’m guessing an autobiography focusing the transformation God has worked in your heart over the past few years.

I’m guessing it’s a Christian fiction book whose main character will be a woman who has learned (or learns) how to listen and speak up.

Maybe a work of fiction based in current time about an ordinary woman who finds her voice and makes an impact on our current world and time. Whatever it is it will be worth it cause you wrote it!

Are you doing a fiction book on Abigail from Bible? Either way, sounds exciting! Can hardly wait!

I think your new writing project is a book about a women learning to speak up based off all your teachings.

Your new book is a work of fiction! A story that incorporates all the skills you talk about here on the blog:
