On the Wings of Kindness

Once in a while there’s a news story that lifts my spirit instead of deflating it. There was one last week that’s followed me around and messed with me ever since I saw it, and I have to share it with you.

It’s a story that shouts the goodness of God and the glory of His image in us. It’s a story of every life counting if it’s invested well. It’s a story of great joy in the midst of sad circumstances. It’s a story that exemplifies this scripture:

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.” Philippians 2:3-4

Please, please take a few minutes to watch this news story. Follow it with the prayer that each of our lives would manifest God’s strength in our weakness in the same way this man’s does.

Enjoy, and let your heart take flight!

    Amy,
Thank you for sharing Steve Hartman’s story. I missed it last week. What a blessing I received today when I watched the clip during my lunch. I am guilty of the mindset sometimes that what I have to give is not enough or can’t make a difference, but turn what I have over to God and watch the transformation. I needed the reminder to remain focused on Him.

  3. Wow! what an amazing story! Indeed we can all change the world one person at a time, and our “disabilities” don’t have to stop us! Praise God and thank you for sharing,
