May you receive all the glory for this house sale. Begin to praise him thagpt the house is sold. Keep your eyes on him and see him show up and show out as only he can. Blessings!

Lord, I pray for just the right buyer for Caroline’s house. I pray that as she and her husband wait, they would seek you together and that their marriage would grow stronger.

  5. Please pray for my health. They can’t seem to find my primary tumor site and I already have a metastases. We were almost there and now i feel like we have taken 4 months of a back step. The doctor say I will need to be in the hospital fpr a week and recover for 10-12 weeks. I am the primary earner in our family and I am not sure how that is going to happen. In the process of getting to the correct and accurate diagnosis I am getting sicker and weaker and taking it out on my family. I don’t want to hurt the ones I love. I feel like I am sinking and growing tired of treading water. My husband’s health is poor and it takes all he has to help me and for this i am thankful. But the devil is so powerful with us and our children, he has it out for our blended family. Please pray for us and thank you for your generosity of praying for all of us. I love your blog and am so thankful for p31 ministries. God is great! I have to remember to ask him for assistance more often.

That The Lord would do a mighty work in providing finances for the whole trip and expenses(passport, shots).
The second one is for, my husband to be blessed with a job, he has been unemployed for the last two months. I believe that all things are possible through Jesus Christ. Thank you so much for your time, May The Lord shine His Mercy and Grace upon you always.
    -Anna I. Ramirez

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Lord, please pour out your blessings on Anna’s missions trip and provide every need. Please also provide a job for her husband and release this family from the stress of stretched finances.

Pray for God’s wisdom to get us out of debt, and lead my husband in this area. Pray for my job, and insecurity concerning time to retire. I desire to be dependent on God, and I want order in my life. Pray that The Lord will use me for His purpose, to be strong and courages. I want a revival in my life.

    Thank you
    Diana

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Lord, I pray that You honor Diana’s amazing, strong prayer for revival in her life. Fill her with Yourself in a way that fills every other need and gives her an opportunity to point to You as the source.

  8. Dear Amy,

Please pray for me as I am going through a seperation from my Husband of 23 years. He is not a follower of Christ and I ask for prayer for him as well, and our 2 children. He is not working and I am having to manage two households because our kids stay back and forth between both of us. My children are very impressionable at this stage in their lives and I want to be a positive role model for them. I get so caught up in the big and little things going on around us daily that I don’t know what to pray but I know that God knows my heart and knows what may be weighing me down at any given moment and all I have to do is say his name and he is always there. I am missing a really special friend who recently moved away and she is on fire for Jesus and she has been such an inspiration to me. We used to hold each other accountable for our daily needs and struggles and just pray for each other. So I ask that you pray for her as well and that our friendship, no matter how far apart we are will always continue and be strong and that we will still hold each other accountable. Please pray for me that I can stay strong through all of life’s daily struggles. Thank you and the other members of the Proverbs 31 team for the daily encouragements.

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Lord, as Kris walks through this time of suffering, I pray You would be everything she needs, completely sufficient. Surround her with people who love, support and help her, and please help she and her friend stay close.

  9. Gina Julian says:

    Hi Amy!
My prayer is for you! As I read through all these prayer requests, my heart aches for these precious ladies. Their pain is real, their hearts are heavy. I pray for you as you lift them up, that you would be strengthened, and that God would continue to use you mightily to further His kingdom. Our God is sooo able to do much more than we ask or can even imagine. Thank you for your ministry, thank you for praying for these ladies!

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Thank you, sweet Gina! You have no idea how inadequate this has made me feel, and reading your encouragement came just at the right time. Hugs!

  10. Please pray that my husband would be drawn to Christ in a new and powerful way. That his heart would be softened, that he would discern what The Lord would want from him, and that our marriage would be restored. Pray that I would feel God’s presence, comfort, and peace during this time. It has been a long tough year and I am tired. Thanks for your ministry and prayers.

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Lord, I pray for healing and restoration in Kay’s marriage. Fill her with an extraordinary sense of rest and peace as she walks through the transition.

  11. Please pray for me that my anxiety, fatigue, and light headed ness will resolve soon so I can take care of my children and lead a normal life.
    Thanks so much

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Lord, please heal the deepest places in Lisa so that she can live the full life You created her for.

  12. Please pray for a repentant andobedient heart for me, that burning desire to spend time with God in prayer and reading His Word every single day. I have neglected Him and been so prideful thinking that I can do it on my own and it has been disastrous. It is affecting my parenting and marriage. I need the LORD more than anything else to live a victorious Christian life. Also, pray for a clear direction from God for our family, living in these last days. Pray for me and my mother – healing and restoration of our relationship.. Pray that she would repent and seek God. Thank you. Blessings.

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Lord, thank You for MT’s heart turning back to You. As she seeks You, I pray You pour out Your healing in every area.

  13. Healing for depression and emotional pain. Also, for a very difficult work situation.

    1. Terri, I understand what you are going through as I am experiencing the same things. Please know that I will be praying for you daily. Remember that he will lift us out of the miry pit and place our feet on stable ground. Also, he is our shepherd and he is leading, guiding, protecting and providing for us. I hd a rough day yesterday and went to my room and just cried and poured my heart out to him. I surrendered the job situation and the depression that has recently plagued me since losing my mother unexpectedly. After that time alone in prayer and being open to The Lord about my situations. God is faithful. He will see you through. You ready have the victory.
Bless you sweet sister. You are not a.one.
      Kathleen

    2. Amy Carroll says:

Lord, You see the pain in Terri’s life. I pray for Your amazing mercy and healing.

  14. Amy, how kind of you to pray. I just spent time reading and praying over all the requests myself. What a blessing that was for me. When you lift up others, it seems to encourage your own self.

I would like prayer for my son being able to get a job interview that will lead to a much needed job. They are choosing the candidates today. He is one of fourteen. They will only pick three to five candidates to interview.

I need a career change, physical healing and financial breakthrough for my family. I am tired and worn out. I need Jesus to breathe new life into our circumstances. I know he will. He is in control.

I have lifted you and your family up in prayer. Just found your blog, today for the first time. Your prayer video touched me. When you said “you are not alone” I just. Cried because that was how I was feeling all day today.

I have one other request and that is that the renters next door to me move. They party and play loud music all night long and we are not getting our sleep.police have been called many times but no change.

    Thanks and God bless!
    Kathleen

    1. Jesus, Kathleen needs intervention by you in her life. Move the neighbors on, so she can get the rest she needs. Provide work for her son, a career change for her as well as physical healing and a financial breakthrough. You are the miracle maker. You are her provider. Thank you that you never leave us or forsake us, Jesus! Amen

    2. Amy Carroll says:

Lord, I pray for Kathleen for rest, career provision and a change in neighbors. Please pour out Your love for her and give her rest.

  15. My husband of over 27 years is wanting a divorce and has fallen out of love with me. He has agreed to to separation, but it is a separation in my home while he basically lives upstairs and sleeps in the guest bedroom. He will not agree to marriage counseling. He is a believer but is turned off by any mention of church, scripture, Jesus, Christian counseling. He is enjoying time with our 20 y.o. son home from college, and I am fearful that when our son leaves for College on August 18 th Mike will demand a divorce. He has already emotionally fallen in love with a married co-worker, but that has now ended. I pray for supernatural healing of our marriage and marriage counseling that he will be open to and that this trial will make our marriage stronger and our communication better than it ever was during the prior 27 years, that he will turn away from alcohol to sooth his suffering and return to Christ and I will allow Mike to be the head of our household and stop my manipulative and controlling ways and honor his request to keep our family matters private so I may trust him completely and Mike may trust me! Amen.

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Lord, as Kristi turns control over to You in complete surrender, I pray You lead and guide she and her husband toward wholeness and restoration.

  16. Faithfulness says:

My prayer request is for an increase of faith. I have been having marital problems since my husband cheated on me softly. We were only married a short while before he had an encounter with another woman. Years later when before he had promised that he did not participate in any other acts he told me there was more. Now that haunts me to see him as unfaithful. Yet God has been telling me to look to His faithfulness and not my husband’s past. The thoughts of his infidelity overtake me at times. I need prayer to put the past behind and the Lord ahead. THANK YOU

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Lord, help Faithfulness as she forgives her husband. Lead her to people who have found healing in similar circumstances and let them walk with her through this time.

  17. First thank you so much for taking time out of your day to pray for me. My request is for financial relief we have been struggling for awhile now and every time it seems like we are getting back our financial footing something happens that knocks off back off track. We have 4 wonderful children with the oldest starting his senior year. I don’t want him to miss out on senior year activities because of our financial situation. I just ask that you pray a financial blessing over us so that we can catch up onnour bills and that I would keep my eyes focused on God and His truth. Pray that I remember that God hears me and that I keep my focus on Him and Him alone. Thank you again.

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Lord, pour wisdom into Dee and her husband as they seek You about their finances. As they follow You in obedience, I pray the dollars would stretch beyond what’s natural and provide for every need.

  18. Thank you for your prayers and for your willingness to pray. I am struggling, I have been struggling. My husband has not had a job for a while and can’t seem to find one. I am having a hard time paying all of the bills on my own and figuring out how to save a little at the end of that to feed my children and put gas in the car. I’m having work long hard hours and I miss my babies like crazy, they are only two and four. I so wish I could be with them more. I’m also struggling with my mother’s Alzheimer’s and her not remembering me or having me. Who are you if your mother can’t even remember giving birth to you? I feel lonely, tired, worn out, sad, frustrated, overwhelmed, and if I’m honest, a little angry. Prayers for any one of these things would be so very kind of you.

    1. Jesus, you understand the enormous amount of stress and strain Catherine is experiencing. She needs hope and faith, that change will come. Give her precious moments with her babies when she is with them. Help her to pour truth into her mind and heart to combat the feelings of feelings and despair. Carry her, Jesus. Amen

    2. Amy Carroll says:

Lord, You see Catherine in the middle of her suffering. Please give her rest, people around her to support her and fill her with hope even in hard circumstances.

  19. I’m requesting prayer in most all areas of my life including my husband, 2 sons, mother, friends, church or rather churches, finances, and of course myself. I have been rescued by the Lord before and hated being trapped. I am thankful and trusting the Lord for all he has done for me. The things that have gone on this year have been overwhelming plus circumstances that seem to have never changed for 25 years. I keep trusting but am so ready for change. I don’t want me and my family, etc to be trapped in never ending negative circumstances. Thank you for your prayers!

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Lord, show Kim the path You want her to walk and give her great peace even in suffering. As she takes steps of obedience, give her confidence and joy.

  20. Amy, Thank you for offering to pray for this situation. One year ago this Friday, my best friend lost her 17 year old son to cancer (he was also my son’s best friend). God enabled both my son and I to walk through their struggle with them. Now my friend has a lot of anger and ill will toward others. She doesn’t want to hear about Gods Grace or strength. Praying God will give me the knowledge of how to support both my friend and my son, and how to acknowledge this loss. Your prayers are coveted. Thank you. ~Kim

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Lord, as Kim loves her friend would you reveal Your love through Kim? Fill Kim with wisdom and discernment as she ministers to those who suffer.

  21. I ask for prayer for peace as I wait for the Lord to guide me and lead me in what the next step for me would be. I pray for His timing, provision, and wisdom. And for me to stay in His will and trust and obey even when it does not make sense.

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Lord, thank you for Sheree’s heart to please You and follow You closely. I pray that You would reveal Yourself clearly as she seeks You.

  22. Thanks for the your encourageing words and for praying for me. Could you pray that I will be able to comprehend what God’s will is for my life and that I will increase my time with the Lord.
I also asked that you pray for my children that the Holy Spirit will take over their hearts and that they will have a relationship with God.

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Lord, I pray that you fill Yvonne’s with an overwhelming desire for time with You and that as she seeks You, You would make your will clear to her. Draw her children to salvation.

  23. I could sure use some prayer. Starting next month, we’re going to have only $250/mo for 3 of us to live on. That has to pay for food, medication, electric bill, cable, car insurance, and whatever else may pop up. My husband has a million excuses for not looking for work, so it all falls on my shoulders to provide (I’m the only one working). I really don’t know how all this is going to work out. I keep praying but my anxiety is just getting worse. Thank you for wanting to pray for all of us. Many blessings to you and your family.

    1. Hi Linda, I am praying for you and family that the Lord will provide for your basic needs for the coming months. May you trust Him to pull you through as He works in a miraculous way.

    2. Amy Carroll says:

Lord, help Linda in this time of need. Stretch dollars as she faithfully works, and we pray for work for her husband as well. Keep this precious family in your care.

  24. Men need prayer too! Hope you don’t mind me asking for prayer today..

I would like prayers in the areas of Gods guidance, finances, employment, and health.

Our finances our dwindling fast and we are having a hard time finding employment, God has always provided and we are trusting Him to do so today. I need a miracle today!I have my sons wedding coming up next month and not sure how I can assist financially with it, bills are piling up, etc. My wife has tests that need to be performed relating to her post cancer treatments and the deductibles are high and we have to have the money before they will perform the procedures…. We are being obedient to God in all areas and are struggling with the silence, we need that token of hope and encouragement today from Him…

I thank you for your ministry, what a blessing it seems to be to so many!

    1. Amy Carroll says:

  25. Thank you for your words of encouragement today. Please pray for my daughter, Trish, and my son, Roan, for the working of the Holy Spirit in them so that they will know the heart of our Lord Jesus Christ and obey Him and obey the parents as well.

I will be praying for your ministry as well. Thank you. God bless!

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Lord, thank you for sweet Joyih and her family. I pray that you’d draw her children and husband to Yourself and that as a family they would bring great glory to You.

  26. Thank you for your encouragement today!

My husband and I are struggling to conceive. So far, the tests are coming back normal, and the doctors think we just need more time… but I know in my heart that something is wrong in my body. It looks as though another cycle has come and gone without ovulation. Please pray for peace and contentment for God’s plan- I’m trying so hard to trust Him. Thank you.

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Lord, please fill Adrie with Your peace and a knowledge of Your deep love for her as she waits.

  27. Amy, Thank you so much for your prayers! I know that God is good all the time and he is always looking out for our best interests! I ask for his Peace and understanding at this time for his will in my life as my husband and I have been struggling in our marriage for a long time. I can not see an end to this but I know things do not always work out in our timing and I am patiently waiting and trusting in his timing. I also ask that he will help to soften both of our hearts and allow us to let go of past hurts that we have inflicted on one another and to help build up our relationship so firmly that nothing can make it crumble. All this I ask in his precious name!

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Lord, I stand with Kim with prayers of restoration for her marriage. I pray this will be a story that brings you great glory.

  28. I been dealing with anxieties and fear.
I need God’s peace and to help me
    overcome this.

    1. Amy Carroll says:

  29. Thank you for your prayers and words of encouragement. At this time I’m currently searching for a full time job. I have to have one with benefits. I also need prayer for the tension in my family. I also ask for prayers for my friend Q. She has made some decisions that may change her life for forever. Finally I’m searching for a church family and I wish my family would come to church with me. They have changed since they stopped going to church. Again thank you.

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Lord, as Tara seeks You for the answers to these pieces of her life–job, friends, family, church–I pray that you fill her with wisdom and give her clear guidance about how she can best glorify You and show You to those around her.

  30. I have been getting this message a lot lately. I have a hard time with it. My prayer has been to be able to stay home at take care of my ailing father who has Alzheimers and Parkinsons. My husband lost his job a year ago but thankfully he has been working on the side so we are able to make the mortgage payment. My parents live with us – mom just passed away in December. It has been so hard on all of us. Both my husband and I have been praying that I would be able to quit work so I can take care of dad but there have been no answers, no confirmations, just silence. I am waiting on the Lord but it is so hard. Please keep us in your prayers. Thank you.

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Lord, I stand with my sister Rose in this time of waiting. Even in the silence, will you be very present with her? Please show her you’re with her, see her circumstances and are at work.

  31. Nicole W. says:

Amy, I really need your prayers. I have an interview on Wednesday and I am really in desperate need of a job. I have lost my health insurance and my savings is almost exhausted. The last two years that I’ve have lived in my new city have been the hardest and worst years of my life. I am very, very tired. I am desperate to lie down in green pastures beside still waters. Please pray that I would forgive my parents, especially my mother. Thank you.

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Lord, I’m praying for a new season for Nicole–a season of rest, peace and forgiveness. Even as her potential employers consider her, I pray for Your favor on her.

  32. Recently, I’ve had a total change of life. My son and his wife have gotten a divorce and she didn’t want their two children. So, they have moved in with my husband and I. Two boys, ages 2 1/2 and 1. Very busy life right now. I’ve read your blog and listened to your message and prayer. Thank you! You have drawn my attention (which seams to wonder lately) back to God’s wonderful love and grace. Please pray for all of us and we continue to try and do the best for these young boys.

    1. Jesus, Mimi needs supernatural strength and your perfect love for these precious boys. Every day, fill her beyond what she has naturally, in wisdom, peace and hope for tomorrow! Protect their little hearts from rejection. Fill their love gap, Jesus! Amen

      1. Thank you so much Lynn, Ann and all others! I will say a special prayer for each of you as well!

Thank you Jesus for giving me these ladies to share in your wonderful grace! Please bless each of them with your love as they encounter their own life issues. Amen

P.S.: God answers!! I noted the time Ms. Lynn prayed for us yesterday, the youngest has been fever free after four days of high temp since her prayer!! 🙂

    2. Amy Carroll says:

Lord, I pray that Mimi’s home is filled to overflowing with joy and peace as she transitions into this new season. Please be very present and real to her grandsons as they adjust.

  33. Elley Dahlke says:

    Hi Amy,
Thanks so much for your offer to pray for me today. I have a 28 yr. old daughter who is the joy of my and my husband’s life. Unfortunately, she has made some very bad choices when it comes to men. Right now, she is in a relationship that is not good for her and we think she knows it but has a fear of being alone. Please pray that a. I can quit all my worrying and have the peace that passes all understanding and that b. she can realize that no matter what, God loves her and give her the strength to leave this unhealthy relationship. Thank you and God bless.

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Lord, please make your ways clear and beautiful to Elley’s daughter. Help Elley to faithfully pray each day for her and then go into the rest of her day with a divine peace that exceeds the circumstances.

  34. Katherine says:

I am asking for prayer for a new job and relocation to be near my love and for my love and I to have a graceful and blessed reconciliation. Praying to let go of hurts from the past that have been holding me in bondage and for healing of heart, mind, finances and body. Praying for strength to continue being faithful to the desires of my heart and to the path/purpose I am being led to and trusting God for victory, in His time.

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Lord, lead Katherine into the next steps of her life with clarity, and I pray for that clear path to be paved with great joy.

  35. Amy, you are a sweet blessing. Your prayer was so precious to me. I would love specific prayer for my family as my oldest prepares to go away to college (prayer for her going away & for us at home) & for physical challenges I am personally dealing with. Thank you so much, & may the Lord bless you & help you in your life as well, whatever is going on with you & your family.

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Lord, please touch Jenny’s body with healing and her heart with strength and peace as her daughter leaves for college. We pray for a smooth transition to college life for her daughter.

  36. I have a job now that something happened over a year ago. I am still struggling with this emotionally.
Another opportunity has come up for me to apply for a similar job with a different company. The pay is a lot less than what I am making now.
Please pray for open doors for this new position. I have prayed so much about this and feel at peace about it.
I am emotionally drained at this point and need prayers for comfort and peace and that my application will fall into the right hands at this other company and that they will be receptive of it.

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Lord, I pray for your best in Kim’s job situation. Give her wisdom and peace as she seeks You and seeks change.

  37. Hi Amy, I too am thankful for your prayers. I am new to you and this process, but I feel the Lord has been asking me to “shake things up” in my life a lot lately. It seems that every section of my life there has been something going on. I know He wants some changes, but I am unsure of the path. I am certainly going to use the method you shared in an earlier blog, but need extra prayers too. Please pray that I find the paths that He wants me to take for my job, my finances, my marriage, and my own health. Additionally, that I have the courage and faith to follow through!

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Lord, I pray that you take Laura’s willing heart and give her guidance, direction and wisdom.

  38. Thank you for this post. God has helped me find my keys many times, as well as earrings, and important papers. I have been worrying all weekend about a forgotten password. I needed this reminder. Please pray that my daughter will remember her password for her computer. I

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Lord, others may think this request is small, but you care about every detail of our lives. I pray Dora’s daughter remembers the password to her computer.

  39. I was randomly searching for a devotional this morning when I came across your blog. The emotions started welling up and my eyes filled with tears listening to you pray. I knew God had directed me here. I have been having a hard time praying lately. I can’t seem to focus. I say short little prayers throughout the day. I have several things coming up in my life that I need to make decisions about and I need clarity and direction on. Also my son needs Jesus and healing over addiction. My daughter is entering her senior year of high school. Seems we are all getting ready for a season of change in each of our lives. I love God and my desire to live for Him is strong. Thank you for praying for me today. May God Bless you.

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Lord, I pray for Melisa in this season of transition in her life. I pray that You draw her and that she runs to you with everything–her son’s addiction, her daughter’s senior year and her new role as mom-to-adults.

  40. Stephanie says:

Hi Amy! Thank you for praying for all of us! My husband and I and my children really need prayers right now! I need prayers for more than what I can say here. My husband was in an accident at work on Friday. He might end up losing his job. We have been struggling financially. If he loses his job, I don’t know what we will do. We don’t have any money in the bank to help until he finds another one. He has been spending way to much on unnecessary things such as alcohol. We can’t really pay our bills because of that. Our marriage has been in trouble for a long time. We don’t get along or see eye to eye on things. He has been drinking a lot!! Ever since the accident, he hasn’t drank anything which is good! I just pray that it continues. He seems remorseful for everything he has put us through and he wants to change but my heart is hurting and not sure I can trust that it will be permanent. Please pray that he doesn’t loose his job, pray for our marriage, pray for me to change my heart towards him, and pray that our family will seek God and his guidance during this time. Thank You!!!

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Lord, I pray for Your full restoration in every part of Stephanie’s family–freedom from addiction, their marriage, finances and peace. Bring them to a place of new joy and a story to tell that glorifies you.

  41. Thank you so much for taking the time to pray for all of us! My prayer request would be that my husband find God and walk in his ways. I have encouraged him to pray with me, attend church and go to bible study and he just shuts me out. A lot of times we end up in an argument. I have all but given up. I pray that one day he will come to know God and live a more Godly life and to leave the alcohol behind for good!

    Thanks you!

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Lord, I pray for Amy as she faithfully prays for her husband and lives out Jesus in front of him. We pray for him to turn his heart fully to You.

  42. Thank you for offering to pray. I am pregnant and due any day. Recently my husband was diagnosed with Guillane Barre Syndrome and then a week or so later I started feeling numbness in my face, arm and leg. I know it is not contagious, so I struggle with fear of what is going on. The dr said mine may go away after baby is born. Please, please pray healing for my husband and I. And please pray I can completely trust God as He builds our faith and complete reliance on Him. He is in control and He loves us. Please join our prayer that complete healing is His will. Thank you.

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Lord, I join with Debbie in praying for complete healing for she and her husband. I also pray for great joy as a new, precious life comes into the world!

  43. Please pray for financial problems in out business. We own a ranch and we are not able to pay our bills at this time. Also, please pray for my son who has gone thru a divorce and was in deep depression. He has not gone back to church since this has happened.

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Lord, I pray for miraculous provision for this family–for finances and wisdom for Janice and her husband and for healing and restoration for their son.

  44. Thank you for your Encouragement devotion and your video this morning. Definitely from God! My job assignment ended in April. My husband and I have been in agreement that I should stay home. I’ve worked since I was 14 and I’m in my early 40’s now. We’ve had several financial things happen since we’ve made the decision for me to stay at home which makes me think I should go back to work. I know part of that is me being capable of handling things myself. Please pray I will do God’s will and not my own will and that He will help my husband and I as we work on living within what he makes. Thank you for praying for me!

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Lord, help Anna to walk in peace in the step of obedience you’ve called her to. I pray for wisdom for she and her husband and for miracles of provision as confirmation.

  45. Please pray for my son who is living apart form God. he is living in rebellion and with a lifetyle that is self destructive at times. Please pray he returns to the lord with a surrendered heart and that I would have peace and be able to let go and let God work

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Lord, I pray for Debbie’s son to turn to you with his whole heart so that he can live the abundant life you’ve created him for.

  46. Hi Amy,
Thank you so much for your devotional today. It really hit home! Prayer is so vital and yet so easy to forget about. This was the perfect reminder for me to pray consistently about everything!!
Thank you for your offer to pray for me and others. You are a gift from God.
I would like prayer for my husband. He has been an alcoholic for a while now and it has been tearing our family apart. After many confrontations and threats to move out with our three boys he finally has sought out treeatment. He has been doing well so far, Praise God! But we need continued prayer that he will continue down the path of sobriety. He is also currently unemployed and has been for about a year. He had a job interview last week and has not heard anything about it yet. Please pray that this comes through. If this is not the job he is to have then pray that God will lead him to the right one. We can’t live on just my salary and longer.

Thank you and God bless you!

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Lord, I rejoice that Kristen’s husband is taking successful steps toward freedom from addiction. I pray you strengthen him, encourage him, and take the weigh off Kristen by providing him the perfect job.

  47. This morning, right before I logged on to P31 to read today’s devotional, I stood, holding hands with my ten year old son, in his room praying out loud that God would help him get his room cleaned this morning (which barely has a clear pathway to get to his bed). I walked away feeling a little bit silly for praying for something so small – so not important. Oh how I smiled when I read today’s devotional! Thank you for confirmation that I know that I can go to God with every request – big and small and that I showed my son that he can too.

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Sweet encouragement, Theresa! I’ve got 2 man-children who need to clean their rooms, so I’m going to use your tip!!

  48. Hi Amy, Thank you for your message today. I really needed to read that as I am going through a time of waiting and testing right now. I am pregnant and my husband and I recently found out that my blood work came back abnormal from our quad screen. We went in for an ultrasound to check the baby and based on that ultrasound, the Dr. Suggested we have another blood test done or an amnio to tell us if there is a genetic problem. I didn’t want to do the amnio so we opted for another blood test. We get the results of the blood test back this week and it has been so hard not to worry. The first thing I did was google every possible thing I could looking for something that would give me some hope when all it did was give me more anxiety. I promised God that I was done with trying to find answers on the internet and promised to trust him. I know my God is greater than any odds we have or tests we have done and I have been praying faithfully every day that everything is ok with our baby and he will take care of us. I am resting in his peace now and every time I start to worry, I pray. Thank you for your prayers. -Amy

    1. Gina Julian says:

      Amy,
I pray for Gods continued peace as this precious child grows. I pray for God’s healing touch. I pray for strengthening of your faith and trust as you journey this road and that you would find rest in Him.

    2. Amy Carroll says:

Lord, please fill Amy and her husband with a divine peace beyond their circumstances as they wait. Protect the precious baby in her womb.

  49. Thank you Amy. What a gift of God to hear your prayer this morning. My husband and I have been journeying into new territory by starting a small group the last several months with a vision of building a community and building relationships with our neighbors. We had a great group last evening but . . . my husband and I are at odds! We are talking but how can this be? Seeking the Lord and yet struggling with one another? Thank you for your prayers and I sense God’s peace.

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Lord, thank you for the step of obedience Debbie and her husband took leading this small group! I pray for blessings on the group and for this couple to be protected from spiritual attack on their marriage as they follow your will.

  50. Please pray over my close friend Dominic, that he comes to know who he is in Christ and learns to love & live freely in the grace that comes from knowing Him. His family may have mistreated and neglected him as a child, but let us both pray that he finds himself surrounded by the family of God who show him unconditional love. Thank you for your prayers today Amy, you have a beautiful heart!

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Lord, we pray for Dominic to surrender to you so he can experience the healing of his wounds and the joyful life you created him for.

  51. Please pray for healing for my right eye. I have had three surgeries and am now waiting for healing to restore my vision. Please pray that I can be patient during this time and that God will provide a miracle so that I will be able to see out of that eye once again. Thank you for your prayers.

    1. Gina Julian says:

      Debbie,
Praying for the Lord’s healing touch, as well as His perfect peace regardless of tomorrow.

    2. Amy Carroll says:

Lord Jesus, I pray for healing and site in Debbie’s eye. Help her to wait in peace.

  52. Please pray for my daughter Tiffani. She is 34 and unemployed for 8 years, since she lost custody of her daughter. She blames most of all her problems on her ex-husband and is holding so much bitterness and unforgiveness and says that she will never forgive. She is living with me (Mom) now and I am praying for a complete healing emotionally and physically. 8 years she has moved from one place to another living on hand outs and couches…So sad and frustrating to me because she has to chose to forgive and desire a better life. Refuses church and wants nothing to do with it.

    1. Shari, praying that Tiffani will become willing to listen to God’s voice and work towards having forgiveness even though she has been hurt by others, so that she can move ahead with her life; thankful that she is now living with you where she can regain strength and see God working through you.

    2. Amy Carroll says:

Lord, I pray for Tiffani to realize her need for you and to turn to the full, abundant life that you offer.

  53. I need prayers for our finances. We are maxed up on our credit cards and are struggling to pay our bills. I just can’t pray anymore and always console myself that God knows everything and is aware of what is going on. My husband is estranged from his 3 children who have all grown up and the last one just graduated from college and is now working. He wants to stop child support and alimony but his ex is fighting it . I find myself resenting my husband and our marriage is at stake.
I have family in Rwanda and Uganda that look up to me and it breaks my heart when I don’t have money to help- this is something I love to do; help people in need.
My prayer is that God blesses us financially so we can be a blessing to other people too. It kills me when I know of another’s need and can’t help.
My son is graduating in Dec , please pray that he gets a good job. He has had an interview for an internship with Delloite- please pray that he will be considered.
Thank you so much for praying for us.

    1. Rahab, God hears our thoughts even when we are too discouraged to pray out loud, He loves that you have a heart to help others; I’m praying that there can be resolution in your family situation, both for finances and restoration of the relationship between your husband and his children and also for the two of you, and that your son finds employment.

    2. Amy Carroll says:

Lord, I pray for wisdom for Rehab and her husband concerning their finances, and I pray that she would lay her burdens on you. Be very present with them, Jesus.

  54. Dear Amy,
Please pray for me. My husband and I are separated and I am afraid to trust him and take another chance. After 36 years of marriage, I really don’t understand why it took so long for him to understand and really want to show me love and respect. He has been very passive aggressive but is showing true repentance. Please pray that God will give me a peace and the faith that only He can give. Thank you.

    1. Gina Julian says:

      Kathy,
I prayed God will give you discernment in your current situation with your marriage, and that His perfect peace will guide your heart. Turn to His word for guidance.

    2. Lord Jesus,
Oh how I understand. But I pray and ask for you to give Kathy your peace, wisdom, and discernment. May you give her your strength and power to trust in you alone. May her trust be in you and not her husband. May she her your voice as you guide her steps. May your grace help her to step in obedience as you reveal to her your plan. Pour out your love upon your daughter this very moment.
In your son Jesus name, Amen

    3. Amy Carroll says:

Lord, help Kathy know how to respond to her husband. I pray for true restoration of this marriage into something new and beautiful.

  55. please pray for me to have courage and integrity. I am having a hard time in my marriage this is the fifth time moving out off the home with my daughter because I undergo alot off verbal abuse in the home in front off my daughter and constantly geting sick. And now my husbsnd says to me that he is changed for the fifth time and wants me to come back saying that God wouldn’t like what i am negecting him because I am a christian. At this time I need God to show me what to do in this situation. I am tired spiritually. phyically, mentaly and emotionally. please…………I need help

    1. Jesus, you tell us in James 1:5 if any of us lacks wisdom, we can ask of God, who gives generously, without finding fault, and it will be given to him. Please give Denvor Your wisdom. Not what makes sense to those around her or even her husband, but what you, in Your perfect wisdom, would have her to do. Amen

    2. Amy Carroll says:

Denvor, I prayed for wisdom for you and also for wise and supportive people around you to help.

I volunteer for a domestic abuse shelter, and I feel compelled to encourage you to call your local hotline. There are trained counselors there that will help you to think through your situation and make decisions.

      My heart is with you!

      1. As a victim of such abuse I totally agree. I pray she will have the courage to make that call and that God will place the right woman on the other end who will help her.

  56. I’ve been working in my field for over 40 years. I feel that it is time for a change. The stress at my current job is extreme. Please pray for peace at my current job, that I will find a better job and that I can keep the current one until the new one comes along. Also my son is unemployed and looking for a job.

    1. Amy Carroll says:

D Rae, I prayed for peace in your work and the perfect job for you and your son.

  57. Please pray for my husband, daniel. he has turned his back on the Lord and our marriage is in trouble. My heart is broken but I’m finding comfort in spending time in prayer. Thank you.

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Hannah, I prayed for hope in your marriage this morning and for Daniel to turn back to Jesus.

  58. Please pray for my marriage. We’ve not been married that long but this journey has felt very long. I don’t understand what God is trying to teach us or why this is so difficult. I do feel I have been more dependent on God because of our struggles but feeling very weary too. I can’t remember why we got married in the first place…this can’t be what God intended for marriage.

    1. Can I recommend you to read sacred marriage by Gary thomas. I’m praying for u.

    2. Amy Carroll says:

Ashley, I prayed for restoration and new joy in your marriage.

    3. Ashley, the first two years of my marriage I was exactly where you are. There IS power on Prayer & power on a praying wife. Dig in and pray for him. I pray God transforms him and your marriage. I SEE GOD now in my marriage. Lean on HIS strength. Trust in a miracle.

  59. I have read the Encouragement of the Day but this is the first time going this far as to write in a blog. I need prayers today as I lay in bed not wanting to get out to face some very difficult financial decisions. Our by business and personal finances are a mess. IRS issues too. Please pray that The Lord helps me with a miracle to help clean up this financial mess. I need strength and guidance in these mattered. I need calmness and controlled emotion. I cannot keep bursting into tears when I need to talk to these people. Thank you.

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Donna, I prayed for wisdom and peace to face the financial crisis. Praying for a plan that redeems and helps you move forward.

    2. Joshua 1:9. take comfort in those words and trust God as you face the issues in your love. In Christ’s love.

  60. I am a grandmother already raising my four granddaughters. Then in February, we became aware that my son and his girlfriend were using heroin. He went back to prison and her and my one year old grandson moved in with us so she could get help. She seemed serious about working the program at first but we are pretty sure she is using again. I need God’s guidance on the way He wants me to proceed. She can’t be here with these precious children if she is using. I am not good at confrontation so this is hard for me. Please pray with me for God to make clear how to proceed. I desperately need His intervention.

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Debbie, I prayed this morning for clarity and strength for you to make decisions that are hard but work toward the redemption of these circumstances.

  61. Very unsafe I meant to say

  62. Please pray for my 4 year old. He is going to VBS for the first time today. That he will be courageous and overcome any separation anxiety that he may have. He also has severe miopia which I think makes him feel very safe. As I’m praying for him today, your support is very appreciated. Thank you! God bless!

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Jolene, I prayed for your son this morning. I pray the first day went well & the second is pure joy!

  63. Please pray for my relationship with my 19-year-old son who is in the Navy and is engaged to be married this fall. He is under a lot of stress and is questioning the decisions he has made and it is causing him to lash out at me.

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Lori, I prayed today for peace and love to flow between you and your son.

    2. I pray God will give you grace in dealing with your son. I pray He will feel your love and the love of God and find peace. I know from experience that stress can make us lash out at the ones who love us the most. Hang in there. He needs to feel your love most when he seems unlovable.

  64. Sandi Clark says:

Please we are in need of urgent prayer . My husbands job is in danger. His work is doing layoffs . I have been recently diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease call dermotamyositis plus we have college tuition coming up for my son . Please Lord intervene and save us from unemployment . Thank you

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Sandi, I prayed for God’s provision in every area for you today.

  65. Thank you for offering to pray for us all today. I would like prayers for our house to sell. It has been a hard decision but one we know needed to be made. Also please pray for my husband who I have been encouraging to lean on God instead of himself. He has had a difficult time the last few years and has turned away from God and us. We are hanging on by a thread. Please pray for our lives to turn around and he sees the power of prayer as we try to hold our family together. Thank you.

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Sara, I prayed that you would see God at work today in the selling of your house and your husband’s life.

  66. Thanks so much for the willingness to share your experiences today. I lay in bed this morning with heavy burdens in raising my family not always confident that I am doing the right things. I want so much to raise them in a way that pleases Christ, but this year so far has been very difficult. As my chidren are teens and becoming teens it has become so hard in knowing how to let them make choices and when to set limits. Please pray for me and my family. Thank you so much.

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Andrea, I’m living in exactly the same place as a mom of teens. I prayed for wisdom, discernment and guidance for you today (and myself too!).

  67. Please pray that this round of fertility treatment is successful. Thank you for this blog. I came from the Encouragement blog, and I believe the Lord led me here today. Thank you, Amy.

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Katie, I prayed for the success of your fertility treatment today.

    2. Praying that your treatment is successful!

    3. Katie, praying that your treamtment is successful. Never give up hope. My husband and I never gave up hope. After many years, I was finally able to give it ALL to Jesus, which meant I had to accept the fact that we might be childless. After 20 years, God blessed us with a son. My prayer is that you will be at peace and have joy and contentment in your heart and spirit no matter what the outcome of the treatment is.

  68. I would appreciate prayers for my sister who is living with a husband who is intent on tearing her down. She struggles with the strength to keep living like this. Prayers would be greatly appreciated.

    1. I know the horror of living in an unloving situation like that. Although I’m out of the home my estranged husband has waged war on me for leaving. I ask for strength to get thru the storm bc he’s relentless and won’t stop slandering my name. The pain and hurt from his betrayal cuts deep. Please pray for me.

      1. I understand. When I went through divorce years ago my husband tore my name to shreds. But God brought me through. He also taught me to forgive. I pray that you will feel God saying, “YOU ARE MY BELOVED”. Nothing will separate you from the one who loves you totally and has promised never to abandon you, but to carry you when you cannot walk alone. May God richly bless you this night with His peace.

    2. Amy Carroll says:

Jody, I prayed for strength for your sister to step into the place of “treasure” Jesus has designed for her.

    3. I prayed for your sister to find a peaceful mind and rest in God’s loving care, and that others will be placed in her path to give her wisdom.

  69. My prayer request today is two-fold. I have been praying earnestly for several years for a better job-better pay and better environment. I have been in my present situation for over four years. It is a very negative environment and I do my best to bring light and a spirit of teamwork to it as I know God would want me to. I have interviewed several times, making it to the final cuts, but not being the successful candidate. I know that God has great plans for me-yet I feel frustrated as I wait for the right opportunity to come. Pray that God will present it soon. Secondly, my husband needs a knee and shoulder replacement. These I juries have hampered his ability to earn a decent income the last 5 years (that is one of the reasons I am searching for a new job in earnest). He has the opportunity for a really good job the end of August. I pray he will follow through and get the necessary survives between now and then and that they are successful. Life has been extraordinarily tough the last 5 years and we both need the new employment prayers answered. Thank you for your prayers today. God Bless.

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Robin, I prayed for just the right jobs for you and your husband.

    2. Prayed that God will bring you both perfect jobs as well as perfect healing for your husband.

  70. Pamela =) says:

Hi Amy, thank you so much for your blog today and for your kind offer to pray. God has really been taking my husband and me on a journey this year of wanting us to increase our trust. Yesterday, our sermon was about trusting with a childlike faith and whether we are afraid to trust maybe because of something that has happened in our past. Great sermon–I’d never thought about it that way–and it’s brought up all sorts of emotions. Would you please pray for our trust to increase, that regardless of what’s going on, we would rest in God? Would you also pray that we would believe and trust Him in all things including our desire to have a child and our longing to support ourselves well by performing full time? Thank you so much, Amy! Truly appreciate your prayers and your encouragement today!!

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Pamela, I prayed for a growing child-like trust for the journey for you.

  71. Please pray that I will remember that it is not my job to change other people. It is God’s. Pray that I will keep my eyes focused on Him, remembering the things He has done for me and how He has always taken care of me. Also pray for a thankful heart.

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Margaret, I prayed that you’d see Jesus’ transformation as you rest in Him.

    2. Isn’t God awesome! Focus on gratitude for His faithfulness even as I join in prayer for you to know Him better, deeper, to know HE is walking with you through this struggle. Let His peace be upon you.

  72. Thank you so much first for taking out the time to pray for others and myself. I am a married mom of three, 16,11,&9. My 11 yr old is special needs and my 9 yr old has learning difficulties. My husband works a lot which leaves me to pretty much running everything. I could really use prayer in a lot of areas, but my main concern is my relationship and walk with Christ. Pray that no matter how hard and tough life gets I will never turn my back on God, and that I will always trust in His Word. I’m struggling with hearing the voice of God speak. Pray that I can declutter my mind so that I can hear. Please lift up my nephew who is like a son to me, who was just sentenced to ten yrs in prison. Pray that The Lord will send him a Paul to be his spiritual father. Last but not least my marriage, that The Lord’s will be done in it. Again thanks so much!

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Arnesia, I’m praying for a quiet mind filled with God’s peace and guidance for you.

  73. Hi Amy

I have been alone and twisted up inside for many years.
The specifics of my prayer requests would require much time to relate and I wouldn’t want to address them casually and understate the magnitude.

You would not have given an invitatation to pray for individuals if you weren’t serious and I am equally serious in my need and intent.

Please remember me, today and as many days going forward, as you are lead.

Your time is valuable and I appreciate any of it spent for me.

    Thank you, Ralph

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Ralph, I prayed the comfort and healing of Jesus’ presence for you.

    2. Ralph, i know how you feel; believe me i do!! W/ Jesus’ strength one can get “past” ANYTHING, regardless of the circumstances!! Thank you for having the strength to ask for prayers!!! I’ll be praying for you!!!

    3. Ralph,

Our God is Big and he can handle any situation big or small.I am praying that God will be your comforter and healer. Barbara

    4. Ralph
I am praying for you I know what it is like to have a twisted inside for years. May the Lord God almighty in his sweet tender mercies lift you up and make you whole.

  74. Prayer for my daughter who is going through heartbreak over a 4 year relationship. This has caused her to dive in to her Bible and prayer but it is still very difficult to recover from the feelings of anger, rejection and not being good enough. She has a consuming fear that God will make her be alone the rest of her life; she is having trouble realizing God’s love for her.

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Ann, I prayed for your daughter to know herself as Jesus’ beloved.

  75. Prayers please.. I’m a single mom that keeps saying I’m tired of doing it on my own.. But as I type this, God is asking me WHY am I trying to do it all on my own when HE is there with me. Just hard to surrender things… For example, my 6 year old starts VBS today and I’ve been worrying about how he’s going to get back and forth when I work full time… Instead of praying about it I try to figure it all out and the anxiety sets in. My 6 year old is my dream come true. But some days he’s going on 16!! Lol. Thank you for your prayers. Have a blessed day..

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Beverly, I prayed for dependence on Jesus for you.

    2. Beverly I prayed that you have an understanding that Our Father God is your daddy. I just cannot imagine being a single mom and the all the pressure is on you. But I believe Father God is there for you and your children in a mighty way. I pray you step out and faith and ask.

    3. I prayed for you. God spoke and said “all will be well” I am in your situation and he has shown so many times that if we trust him and follow him, he will give us our provisions. Sometimes he gives them to us big and small and we may not realize it’s him. Keep your heart and eyes focused on Him. My heart is with you, as I know your struggles.

  76. This senior citizenis trapped, onced again,in addicitive eating, which sounds nicer that the sin of gluttony which it is. in letting this request be made known this is my request that God restore the joy of His salvation and grant me a willing spirit to sustain me. thank you for your prayer today.

    1. Amy Carroll says:

Susan, I prayed for joy and His presence for you.

    2. Romans 8:1 “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” He can take you to freedom, Susan!

    3. I am a senior with the same problem Susan. I finally realized I could not stay in the eating zone. I read and read a book by Lysa Terkeurst and her words have helped me get a grip on food. At first I did not think it did but the Holy Spirit just keeps reminding me here and there about words written in her book “Made to Crave” I hope you can find a copy. It may not be immediate but it will change you from the inside out. You have my prayers cause that is a hard place to be because I have been there. I am standing on scripture and I have lost 20 pounds. I attribute it to her book guiding me to think Gods thoughts after him.

      1. Thanks for the referral of the book “Made to Crave”. I am constantly struggling with my addiction and just don’t know what to do any more. I pray for all who do struggle with this sort of addiction and many other forms. It is a struggle but remember, do it for Jesus and he is with us to strengthen us each moment. Thank you for your encouragement that it does get better. I never want to lose hope and that is my prayer for all with this addiction. God Bless!
