  1. I think that “take homes” are great reminders of messages. Nancy Stafford wrote “lies” on a clay pot, smashed it, and we took a shard home. I spoke on the scarlet rope of hope that connects us to God via His people, and expressed the rope as an emblem of God’s love. I handed out red-cords tied in a circle to wear or hang somewhere that they could be seen. I have used the bookmark idea, and keep them for myself reminding myself of what God taught me as I prepared.

One thing I would love Amy, is tips on organizing information. I am leading a study through Isaiah and find I SWIM in information and lose it, forget it, and criss-cross thoughts. I just know there is a better way than I am currently using. My 19 yr old just helped me with “bookmark folders”… 🙂

Love the service, love the vlog today! Thanks!

      Kathy,
I’m not the best organizer either, so I’m going to have my friend Glynnis Whitwer post on this soon. Thanks for giving us a great topic!

  2. Hey my beautiful friend!
How perfect to have JOY (on your tree) right beside your sweet smile!

Loved your message! So practical!! One of my favs is having the key verse painted on a tile for the ladies to take home. A precious young Mom in the Raleigh area paints them for us. The women’s ministry leaders of the churches were thrilled to have the gifts for the attendees (and covered the cost).

    Enjoy your break!! Merry Christmas!!!

  3. Great job! So nice to see and hear you today. You are very engaging and what a helpful idea. I love that you made this idea of leaving something practical behind so simple, from the wonderful “Let God Chisel” key chain, to the printed card, and to just the verbal challenge of the lights of the tree. Really great stuff! I’m also inspired by the fact that you are taking a week off from blogging next week. I’m a freelance writer and editor, so if I put in a little extra effort this week, I could make this happen. Another practical tip…and a way to settle down a bit to enjoy the last week of Advent. Blessed Christmas to you!

  4. Hi Amy,

  6. Amy~ Loved seeing your sweet face! Made me want to reach through the screen and hug you.
Thanks for this practical idea. I had already been contemplating this for my next talk so this was a great confirmation.

    Merry Christmas!

  7. Amy~ I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this video format!
“Seeing” you added such a dimension of intimacy.
I appreciate your reminder to enhance our practical applications with a physical token.
Christmas Blessings to you and yours!
